I have a fish! A betta fish! I think I'll call him 'Alpha'.
So I had a fish tank set up on my desk for a while - about 2 month-ish. I found the small tank in the lab. As of sometime yesterday or today a fish showed up. Luckily with food.
No one has claimed credit for the placement of this fish. |

Today I had an airplane egg toss. It was fun. There were girls talking about how there was another girl with red hair. I totally didn't picture that girl with red hair. She should be a brown head.
I have a question: Pretend you are a cookie, what kind of cookie would you be?

I ::dramatic pause:: Got accepted into Maryland! ::squeel::
Not only did I get accepted, I am going to be fully funded. Which means I don't have to work this summer - probably. I won't have to pay tuition.
Basically: I'm moving cross country in a few months. Which kinda scares me.
Bonus news: I am apparently on the top of Dr. Akins list. Dr Akins! Who runs the space systems lab! Basically I'm probably going to be able to work on space robotics!
All in all a good day.
I was told all of this on the phone. The official letter should come tomorrow. I want that letter. A lot.
Guess who went to UMD? Jim Henson. Theres a statue/bench of Jim Hension talking to Kermit.
And UMD is really close to DC.

I built a snow monster! It was really hard because I didn't plan ahead so I had this huge base and a large middle piece... and then had to get the middle piece on top of the base... by myself. So... yeah... I ended up building a ramp and rolling it up- which was hard. And yeah... I then turned the ramp into a tail and added spikes. ^_^ 2 hours of building in the snow. |

I want to go to the University of Maryland for graduate school. Its about $10,000 a year for tuition. This doesn't include living there... how sad. Oh well. It looks awesome. However, "The average GPA for new graduate students enrolling in Fall 2005 was 3.7" ... So I won't have the average GPA. Bah. I still wanna go! |

Well heres hoping I don't get in trouble.
I let some students into a lab that was currently unused, in fact it was being used for trash, and helped them clean it up. For the purpose of using the lab ourselves. I mean whats wrong with that? Hopefully the university will see it the same way... |

I wanna do Zelda for Anizona! We could make fake ears and it'll be cool! Emily wanted to be Saria. If Angie and Julian still want to do it then Julian can be Shiek and Angie can be Link. I'll be Zelda since I have the longer hair. And theres plenty of other people if they want to joine! See! Fake ears all around! It'll be glorious!

So working on my 425 Lab with people...After 3 hours of working on centroids, moments of inertia, and then solving differential equations. I finally wrote down the solution and then said "Hang on! I know this formula."
So everyone - since they all knew it too- flipped to the back of the book (not to book for this class but a book from last semester) where the answer was right there.

I just failed another test. And guess why? Stupid mistakes! I found the fundamental frequency in terms of omega and used that. I didn't find it in terms of frequency. Fine. The next part: gahagaS@kasfyhsfawerh. And the whole stupid test went like that! So screwed. |
